It is a wonderful thing to know where your food comes from. Relationships with those who have produced it, knowledge of the local land and the ability to ask questions of producers add an extra dimension to a meal.

We are aiming in this guide to list producers on the Wirral or within 10 miles. We are including a few from further away for certain items where there are currently no local suppliers.

Locally grown food helps cut food miles, support the local economy, and can encourage diversity and good land and animal husbandry. Transition West Kirby celebrates all local food producers and all that you may grown in your garden, allotment or window box.

The Farm Shop sells organic vegetables, honey, perennial and bedding plants, all grown on the farm.
(Open after Easter, 9.30 - 3.30pm Mon to Fri)
Horse manure at Ł1.70 a bag. Deliver up to 20 bags for a flat fee of Ł5.00 after that it's 20p a bag delivery. They also deliver it loose by the trailer load which is Ł25.00.
Wood chippings are Ł20.00 for a trailer load.
Logs for your wood burning stove available soon.
